The Role

Principal accountabilities of the Forklift Operator role include:
- Loading and unloading materials from a variety of vehicles as they arrive onto site.
- Checking loads are secure.
- Ensuring work areas are well kept and safe.
- Comply with Site Health and Safety rules/procedures.
- At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills

- Valid certification to operate forklifts.

Qualifications and Training
- GCSE Maths and English – Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card
- Valid CPCS card
- Valid driving licence
- Effective communication and listening skills

- Punctual, reliable, productive, efficient and quality focussed in work and in personal standards to current industrial standards
- Takes responsibility for personal judgements and actions
- Works effectively and flexibly to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment

Full Job Description
We are looking for 3 hard working and committed Forklift/Telehandler driver’s to assist with general site duties. Based at our sites in Spennymoor, North Shore and Scarborough, North East Region.
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a proactive attitude towards achieving successful outcomes in the following key areas:
- General Forklift distribution, unloading and loading of materials.
- Removing waste materials and managing waste collection areas
- Ensuring site storage areas are maintained in a clean and organized manner
- Maintaining plant and associated equipment in accordance with Lovell policy
- Timely delivery of materials to trades
- Operates telescopic handler and attachments as required
- Maintains daily inspections of plant
- Ensure statutory plant documents are in place
- Check quality of material deliveries
- Site compound presentation and material storage
- Delivery co-ordination and assistance
- Monitor site and ensure that any H&S issues are reported to the site management
- Assist the Site Manager in daily duties as directed
